About the band

A portal between rock and the dance floor

Sedona Port is a synth / pop / rock project — a modern variant of bands like U2, Depeche Mode, Hurts and Coldplay. The project began in Spring 2021 and is based in Stockholm, Sweden.

At its core is Patrik Pistol, the primary creative force — designer, producer and songwriter. Sedona Port pairs widescreen, emotional songwriting with the warmth of legendary analog synthesizers and the punch of modern production.

The name

Why “Sedona Port”?

The name comes from a story about Patrik’s travels in the American Southwest. During a helicopter tour over the mountains of Sedona, Arizona, the pilot mentioned “The Sedona Port” — said to be a portal that aliens used to visit the earth.

Patrik never witnessed the portal himself, but the name stuck. It captures exactly what the music aims for: a doorway to another dimension.

The craft

No AI in the music

Sedona Port has one rule that never bends: the music itself is never made by AI. If anything, we go the opposite way. We build our own synthesizers from the ground up, and we develop new editors and software for vintage synths so these legendary instruments keep working in a modern studio.

We do embrace AI — but only for everything around the art: the day-to-day, the tooling, the workflow. The music, the lyrics and the design are always created by humans. That line is exactly what keeps the soul in every release.

Patrik Pistol

Patrik is the creative force behind Sedona Port — founder, producer, songwriter and designer — who started the project in Stockholm in 2021. A lifelong synth builder, he designs his own instruments and brings vintage machines back to life for the modern studio.

Beyond Sedona Port he has produced and written for artists including Dr. Alban and Alcazar, with work spanning television, gaming, film and advertising. He has also collaborated with Alexander Bard on numerous ventures.

Jamie Wiltshire

Jamie is the voice of Sedona Port. His vocals carry the band’s biggest moments — from the debut single “Let The Fire Burn” through “Run With Me”, “Such a Shame” and beyond.

Recording between Stockholm and Cambridge, UK, Jamie brings a soaring, emotive delivery that gives every song its human heart — the perfect counterpart to the project’s analog machinery.
